PlayerName: Nobi
Contact: Plurk is Nobi Wolff
CharacterName: Laguna Loire
Canon: Final Fantasy VIII
Canon Point/Location: Just after his appointment as President, post-revolution, post Raine
Permissions: I'm pretty open to most tings.
Age: Between 28 and 29, considering he was 27 in flashbacks.
History: I like a lot of directions!Personality: Laguna is, to put it mildly, a moron. He can't remember the simplest of phrases and chooses to just try really hard. Trying really hard some how managed to get him this far in life, so why not keep it up? There must be something he's doing correctly, as his companions respect him for his leadership and look to him for guidance, especially on the field.
He's quick to laugh, always finding a lot of joy in even the smallest things in life and he would give you the shirt off his own back if it wasn't the only one and even then he would consider it. Another thing he would give, at least for the people he's closest to, is his own life if need be. Laguna is the type that when he says he would die for you, he means it.
Embarrassment is a common thing and his reaction to it is to attempt fleeing the situation. While he doesn't mind being the center of attention, if its negative it becomes very awkward very quickly for him. He only ever wants to present his best self.
Which unfortunately doesn't occur ever in front of women. He gets nervous, flustered and stumbles over his own words, but really, he impresses the ladies! Really.. Its them, not him...
You can usually tell when Laguna is nervous because his leg cramps, which garners laughter from people who know him. Strange that these things never happen on the battle field, but only in social situations. One has to wonder if he's faking it to get out of the conversation or if he's a cooler head on the battle field than he does talking to people.
Not to say he's perfect there either. His impulsiveness has gotten him into trouble both on and off the field and it doesn't always work out. If it does fail, he works his hardest to correct it but those around him are glad to remind him that often time his quick to act decisions that work out are mostly due to sheer luck.
Having Raine in his life reigned in that snap to it part of him, but... well.. She passed recently and he's fallen back into old habits.
Anything else: Him pretty. Also, Laguna was aware Raine was pregnant. He learned of Raine's death but when he went to pick up Ellone and his son, he found that neither were present, having been sent off to an orphanage. His intentions were to start looking but the Lifestream scooped him first.
He wanted to name his son Leon.
